Fabbrini heads to Spain on season-long loan

Birmingham City attacker Diego Fabbrini has completed his season-long loan move to Segunda Divisíon side Real Oviedo.

The 26-year-old was surplus to requirements at St. Andrew’s after spending the second half of last season on loan at Spezia.

Fabbrini has endured a difficult second spell at the club after he was signed permanantly by Gary Rowett in January 2016, the season after a short loan spell during which he impressed.

The club chalked out £1.5m on the Italian who has since gone on to make just 21 league appearances without managing a single goal.
