A lot of Blues fans have been getting rather excited about the performances of bitter rivals Aston Villa.
Schadenfreude is a wonderful thing isn’t it? And there’s never a bad time to indulge in it, especially when the person responsible is at their lowest.
And you can certainly make the argument that that’s the case for Aston Villa right about now. After their result against Leicester City on Monday night left them 19th in the Premier League table, there are plenty of Birmingham City fans who are enjoying every moment of their misery in the top flight.
That’s why so many of them took to social media to laugh at our rivals from across the second city, with some even making the point that the Blues might have the better squad seeing as they gave a more competitive performance against the Foxes last week in the F.A Cup.
Blues team worth 15 million lost 1-0 to the third best team in England.
Villa worth 140+ million loose 4-0 to them 🐸☕️ #bcfc— Jamie Linton (@jlint91) March 9, 2020

Does anyone think that Villa are going to be coming down this season? Because it’s not looking promising for them, especially given who they have to face in the coming weeks.
I’m amazed that vile haven’t sacked Smith, maybe they can’t afford to after buying such a pile of villa!!
I’m gonna become a villa fan as I really enjoy watching them play. Watching the blues is a bit meh. I had a big smile on my face watching the boys in claret and blue.
That sweeper keeper they have is pure quality. Also their manager pulls some great faces that put Mike Yarwood to shame. I’m really looking forward to seeing Chelsea coming to fortress Villa Park at the weekend.
I have no preference and couldn’t care less.
My Mrs asked who that new team was in the premiership called Aston Villa Nil as she keeps hearing their name on the TV!
I’ve heard that the local greengrocers have run out of Cabbages KRO
We should be concentrating on our own shortcomings me thinks
I am a city fan and I am from Birmingham I know what I want and know what I’m getting KEEP RIGHT ON SOTV UTB KRO
If the Vile are relegated how does the FL handle their financial situation as they overspent to a far greater extent than we did before their promotion.
Don’t want the Villa down. Blues may lose Hogan and Villa would provide a massive obstacle to promotion.
They will go down of course and may even finish Bottom. Villa will never do us any favors
