Clark Questions Penalty Decision

The 2-1 win over Hull City pleased manager Lee Clark at the weekend as City now set themselves for the start of the new season.

But although the Blues boss was pleased with the performance, he felt that a question mark hung over the referee who adjudged Paul Robinson of bringing down Sone Aluko in the area when it looked like he had won the ball fair and square.

Hull pulled a goal back from the penalty spot when the offended player got up to take the kick himself and send Darren Randolph the wrong way.

“I was a bit disappointed that we did concede in the way we did.’ Clark told the Birmingham Mail.

“I need to speak with the referees` boss to find out what we can do and what we can`t do because, for me, Paul Robinson has won the ball fair and square. None of the Hull lads appealed for it, really.”
