Birmingham City did well at the weekend to overcome Premiership outfit Hull City 2-1.

And it was two of Blues new signings that grabbed the goals, the first coming after just 12 minutes when Shane Ferguson found an unmarked Matt Green who headed the Championship side ahead.

Just after the half time break, City went two up when Scott Allen was quick to react against James Chester before setting up Andrew Shinnie with an easy tap-in.

But Blues were unable to keep a clean sheet after Paul Robinson brought own Sone Aluko inside the box and he brushed himself down to send Darren Randolf the wrong way.

But Blues held on to a moral boosting win ahead of the big kick-off.
