Birmingham Manager Lee Clark has told the Birmingham Mail that Blues are already looking to secure a replacement for Tom Adeyemi.
The manager did say there are plenty of players already at the club that can take Tom`s place in midfield. He also said he hoped there was a young player further down ready to make the step up.
Players like David Edgar, Callum Reilly, Stephen Gleeson and even Paul Caddis could be in the running to take up the spot.
Clark did say however he did contact a club on Wednesday regarding a target and is waiting for something back.
There is money there to reinvest Clark said,
“Whether that be transfer fee and wages, free transfer and wages, season long loan without a recall and wages…
The club have given me those possibilities and I need to try and find the right player to fit those parameters.”
Birmingham won`t be signing someone in time to play against Middlesbrough in the season opener for the midlands team. Clark is confident though his new team are more together and positive.
