Birmingham face Cardiff this weekend and the manager has warned his players that their 3-0 defeat to Bolton was not good enough.
Slade could not explain what had gone wrong when his team went from beating Leeds to such a dismal performance away at Bolton.
Safe to say this new Birmingham team will be equally as punishing should Cardiff turn up and expect some form of easy game.
Cardiff as a result are now looking at reshaping the whole team if need be in the search to stop such a performance happening twice in a row.
The Welsh side will be hoping they can maintain their position in the mix for promotion come the end of the season. Consistency is a huge part of that in such an unpredictable season.
Birmingham, meanwhile, are in the middle of turning their season around. No one is getting ahead of themselves, but under Gary Rowett the stadium will be full again this Saturday.
