It is being reported in the Spanish media that Granada midfielder Rene Krhin is set to sign for Blues and is currently in England to finalise a deal.
Krhin, 26, is a Slovenian international with 30 caps to his name and is a former Inter Milan player who can also play at centre back.
He signed a four-year deal with La Liga club Granada after signing from Milan in 2015 and it seems that Gianfranco Zola is keen on bringing the ball playing defensive midfielder to Birmingham.
The player has made just five league appearances for Granada this season.
