Birmingham City travel to Nottingham Forest this evening (Friday 14th) in search of extending their unbeaten run in the Championship to eight games.

Despite the game being on a Friday night and not on Sky Sports, Blues fans have once again got behind their team and there will be yet another packed out away end at the City Ground when the game kicks off at 19:45.

Forest away has turned into a favourite for many Blues fans over the last few years, picking up four points from a possible six since Gary Rowett took over in October 2014.

Last season, Blues took yet another outstanding away following, again, despite it being on a Tuesday night, but had to settle for a point when Matt Mills scored to cancel out Jon Toral`s goal after 24 minutes.

Blues may have felt aggrieved in that game that more than one Forest player never got sent off, with David Vaughan seeing red with 15 minutes left to play, as well as Nelson Oliviera going close to being sent for an early bath throughout the second half.

However, despite that, Blues fans stayed strong, just like they did when we travelled there in December, just two months after Rowett had been in charge.

On that occasion, Clayton Donaldson bagged himself a brace in a 3-1 win in front of, you guessed it, another sold out away end.

Blues` away following just continues to get stronger and stronger and there is no doubt that if we come away with a point from the game tonight, the fans will have definitely played their part.

Forest is the first of two sold out away games in a week and if the side manage to rack up either four or six points from the two games then it is certainly hats off to the fans who made the trip to both games.
