Don’t get me wrong. I’m as Blue as the next man, but look at the rebuilding that needs to be done. On top of I doubt the board will spend the kind of money that is truly needed. And Bruce has already been backed.
Therefore if there any doubts over Bruces spending then this a loose cog in our promotion machine and that can only mean breakdown some time soon.
With Alan Curbishley and Martin O’Neill available to return to management NOW was the absolute best time to say good bye to Bruce and thank him for all he has done.
With a new manager the board has restored faith in their spending. The new manager has fresh enthusiasm and the player he brings in are going to be up for the fight. This is the mentality we need to get back. We have a long hard season of wining winning winning to aspire to. It doesn’t look good while Brucey is still spending prudent money.
