Amid reports from China, Birmingham’s owner in waiting Carson Yeung had put up £5 million for McLeish to go and get another striker.

After investigation, some strange regulations have prohibited such activity causing the move to fall through.

To update you on the Michel deal, the player was due for a medical today but this has been delayed as his club are still playing hardball after changing their mind and now demanding a larger down payment from blues, personally the board should just agree to pay the fee over a 3 month period, leaving Yeung to inherit the bill.

Did Alex pick Tuncay, or did this move come from further east? No one is going to know, it doesn’t really matter now though as Sali along with Robert Huth look set to join Stoke adding in excess of £100,000 a week to their wage bill. However one thing is for sure, Carson Yeung is eager to show his money.

There are problems arising from this takeover, there is no clear indication as to where money for players is going to come from, and if the recent redevelopment of St Andrews will continue.
