Birmingham City`s transfer embargo has been lifted by the Football League.

City had the action slapped on them in March after failing to submit their accounts for 2010-11 on time.

A little harsh we thought at the time but you can expect nothing else from the faceless wonders, but they have suddenly found a good side to themselves and return City`s right to buy players.

Acting club chairman Peter Pannu said in a statement on the club`s official website: ‘We are pleased that the hard work of those at the club and the Football League has paid off and that the financial prudence put in place since Carson Yeung’s arrest has been recognised.

‘Despite the lifting of the embargo, we still need to ensure that this financial prudence remains in place going forward.’
