Olly Lee has joined Plymouth Argle on emergency loan until 21 February.
Lee has failed to get into the Birmingham squad this season and is in desperate need of first team football in order to salvage his career.
At 23 Lee will be hoping to show what he can do in League Two whilst on loan there.
It is most likely an indication of the level the midfielder may end up at once his contract is up at Birmingham.
Blues are already looking to strengthen in midfield and it looks like loans and a move away from Birmingham is already the planned future for him.
