According to reports in the Birmingham Mail online, Shane Lowry is on the brink of ending his short lived Blues career and move back to his home country of Australia with Perth Glory interested.

It is believed that a move could happen fairly soon and it would bring an end to Lowry’s highly unsuccessful spell with Gary Rowett’s side.

The Australian defender has only made two appearances for the St.Andrews side during his five month stay and reports are suggesting that his move could go through in the next few days.

The Mail believe that Lowry has agreed a deal with Blues that would allow him to return home.

If Lowry left St.Andrews, it is likely that Rowett has a defender in mind that he would like to bring in and there could be further movement in the transfer window from Blues in the coming days.
