Bell Recall Explained

Youngster Amari’i Bell has been recalled from his loan spell at Mansfield Town after not featuring in their opening three fixtures.

Lee Clark has explained that any outgoing loans are for youngsters to gain first team experience and if they are not getting that then he has a decision to make.

Bell was recalled after failing to make a claim for a first team place. Clark has urged youngsters to work harder to convince other managers they need to play. Which is all he can do in a situation such as this one.

Bell will now return to the development team unless another loan move is found for him. Bell played in the U21’s draw with QPR on Monday.

The youngster is thought to potentially have a future with Birmingham but with his age creeping up it is important he is out playing games.

Blues have Mitch Hancox and Jonathan Grounds currently in the first team.
