Kiwi international Chris Wood has extended his loan period from West Brom until 5th January.
Wood had been hoping that the two clubs could agree a deal as he wanted to stay at St Andrews where he is getting first team experience.
So far the 19 year old has proved his worth to City in the championship by bagging eight goals from his eleven appearances.
And Chris Hughton needed no pressing into keeping the player at Birmingham for the whole year after a fee had been agreed between the two clubs.
Wood told www.bcfc.com: ‘I’m very pleased the loan has been extended.
‘I’ve settled in really well here and all of the lads – who are a great bunch – have really taken to me. We are beginning to gel as a team and as a squad and I think that’s starting to show in our performances and results.”
