“We don’t do normal”, “no thanks”- Many Blues fans dejected at reports of a potential new owner

|

Well this certainly came out of nowhere didn’t it?

Just goes to show you can always expect the unexpected in football. Whilst we’re all focused on getting the Championship season back underway, there’s always something lurking in the background trying to grab our attention.

According to a recent report from Tuttomercatoweb, Birmingham City are one of a number of clubs that are being ‘examined’ by former Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino. The Italian sold his share in the Yorkshire outfit back in 2017, but apparently wants to come back to English football, and this news hasn’t gone down terribly well with the St Andrew’s faithful.

Who would you rather have in charge?

Massimo Cellino

Just one article can tell you a lot about what he was supposedly like as an owner and as a man, but there are plenty more examples that you can find that would take me too long to go through, so when the news reached the Blues fanbase, it was no surprise to see that they weren’t too pleased to see his name being brought up.

What about you? What do you make of this story?

I don’t believe there’s any truth in it.
First of all we have three owners all three owners would have to be in agreement. Mr King does not want to sell because he is slowly taking over the club. And the Hong Kong stock exchange listing is valued at 3 times more than the club is worth without the club they lose the listing.
