Birmingham City have ended their interest in Bristol City defender Aden Flint according to Robins manager Lee Johnson.

Speaking after his side lost 2-1 to Harry Redknapp’s Blues, Johnson told the Bristol Post that the Robins had rejected a third and final offer from Blues and that they wouldn’t be returning with another offer.

Johnson said: ‘There has been interest from Birmingham, I believe that interest has now ended.

‘The last email I saw was a case of this is our final offer, that was turned down and the final offer was turned down.’

On Thursday, Redknapp confirmed that the club were currently looking at a couple of defenders who are playing their football abroad at the moment and now it looks like that is where the next player could be coming from.
