Well, this came out of nowhere.
The Blues could be in the process of completing arguably one of the biggest transfers the club has had for a while.
Reports suggest that Birmingham City have pulled off a fantastic swoop by agreeing to a deal for Dinamo Zagreb’s Croatian U21 midfielder Ivan Sunjic. The deal is reported to be in the region of €7m (£6.15m) and includes a 30% sell-on fee, obviously they think there’s a huge star in the making and they want a piece of that pie further down the road.
The cost of the deal has certainly raised a few eyebrows amongst Birmingham City fans about how this will work under the Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations. Having been docked points only last season as punishment for breaking FFP rules when Harry Redknapp was in charge, I’d be concerned too.
I'm thinking the same thing as well but I hope it's agent talk. Of course I want Sunjic but not if it means we might be messed about with FFP again

If it’s done & it’s all above board with ffp then it’s a big intent from the board & should be welcomed

Love the sound of it, but will we not get caught up in FFP again or are we in the clear with that now?

However, a lot of other fans were willing to overlook any negativity on the matter and focus on what a fantastic player they could be about to get. Some of them though may have gone a little bit too far in their assumptions about how good he can be.
Would be signing of the summer, a player we have needed since Barry Ferguson

Only saw 3 minutes of Ivan Sunjic and it’s safe to say, he’s the best midfielder in the world. #bcfc

Would be an amazing signing could have the next Modric on our hands, but can we even afford this deal i know players have gone wages have been free up and we had some funds for jota and Adams but surely that type of money isn’t really available

Fighting off PSV for Crowley and AC Milan for Sunjic. Blues are massive.
