The Hosts – Bristol City

Struggling Bristol City are under the stewardship of interim manager John Pemberton after sacking Steve Cotterill. After being promoted from League One last season, they are a mixed bag.

CURRENT FORM

Sitting in the bottom three, Bristol City have won just one of their last six games. Just a couple of wins would see them climb away from danger. Blues, on the other hand, have only suffered one defeat in their last nine league games and are joint sixth. A win could move Gary Rowett`s men a couple of points from third.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM BRISOL CITY

Who knows? They have a goal difference of minus 23, scoring only 24 and conceding 47. Since Cotterill was sacked, hope has returned to Ashton Gate. But they have scored just one goal in their last three fixtures.
With new signings Scott Goldbourne and Lee Tomlin in tow, their squad should have more strength in depth. Tomlin is a very good Championship player and may prove to be a handful and in Jonathan Kodija they have a much sought after striker with 10 league goals to his name.

WHERE WILL DIEGO FABBRINI FIT IN?…

Blues` new £1.5m signing will have stiff competition from Jon Toral who has impressed in the ‘number ten` role. If Fabbrini starts, he may play as a wide midfielder. Alternatively, Rowett may save him for the Sheffield Wednesday game.

THOUGHTS FROM VITAL BRISTOL CITY

One thing (Korey) Smith knew the players couldn’t do was dwell on the result though as with games coming up against Birmingham and Charlton, he knows they’ll be difficult for different reasons but they are opportunities for points – especially Charlton given their current form.

THE FANS VIEWS

@ShutterBugFlash – We need someone to stop the goals going in and someone to put the ball in the opponents net.

@rblmike – Where’s the new manager. The one that Mr Ashton was leading us all down the garden path on ??

@BarnDoorKodija – Jonathan Kodjia’s nick name is ‘Jimmy Danger’. Can you confirm this is because he’s a danger to low flying aircraft? #AskRichard
@Stuckinwork – here’s a revolutionary thought….work with local transport companies to put on some services that are useful on matchday
