The Blues captain believes that Clark is the right man for the job and with support, can turn City’s fortunes around and have them challenging for promotion.

Since Clark took over the manager’s seat, Blues have played 12 games and managed to lose six, such form has put them fourth bottom of the Championship.

And the defender days that all the players are behind Clark and what he is trying to achieve at the club.

Caldwell told the Birmingham Mail: ‘He’s an honest guy and that’s what you hope for in your manager. You want someone to tell you how it is and explain his reasons for making decisions.

‘He’s a very passionate man and I’ve got a lot of time and respect for him as a person and as a manager.

‘He’s looking at himself, thinking about what he could have done better. But the good thing is he’s got a group of players that are thinking the exact same thing.’
