Nikola Zigic is available to play for Birmingham this weekend after being cleared via his Visa paperwork. Blues could well have done with this news before last weekend.
Birmingham have resigned Nikola Zigic in a bid to widen their options upfront. There was no real aerial threat from the front men as Blues have a relatively small front line.
Zigic finally agreed to taking a pay cut in order to play football. The big man had been on large wages since his move from Spain to England. He left in the summer after failing to agree a new deal on lower wages.
He represents a real prospect for Birmingham as a totally different option to add into games when the passing game of Rowett isn’t working; and it won’t always work.
With that said, Zigic won’t start this next game. Partly due to him probably being behind on match fitness and mainly due to Rowett keeping faith in Clayton Donaldson.
Nikola Zigic returns for his second spell in Birmingham and could make an appearance this Saturday, adding to his 128 already.
