As expected, it has been confirmed that Stoke City have placed a £4million bid on the table for Blues keeper Jack Butland.

The Blues stopper has already turned down a move to Chelsea because of not getting first team football, but that’s not to say he will get any at the Britannia Stadium with their regular keeper Asmir Begovic saying this morning that he is going nowhere.

The offer from Stoke matches the one made by Fulham and there is no word yet from the club as to whether the bids have been accepted.

It may go down to whoever offers the most money up front as Blues are desperate for the cash, it has been reported.

There is also talk of Ryan Shotton and one other Stoke player coming to St Andrews as part of the deal
