Ahead of tomorrow’s clash against Nottingham Forest, which is live on Sky Sports, the broadcaster released a stat about our shots to goals ratio which won’t surprise any supporter.
We have had the most shots of any team so far this campaign in the Championship, but have scored the fewest goals:
v Norwich – 16 shots ⚽️⚽️
v Middlesbrough – 11 shots ❌
v Swansea – 17 shots ❌
v Bolton – 17 shots ❌@BCFC’s next game ???? @NFFC is live on Sky Sports Football, Saturday, 5.15pm. ???? pic.twitter.com/5DWdFfQidF

The only positive thing you can say about the stat is at least we are getting into positions to have shots on goal. Under Steve Cotterill, we weren’t even doing that.
Still, there is no point creating chances if you can’t finish them off, and we are going to be in all sorts of trouble if we don’t improve in front of goal.
Here’s hoping that one or more of Jutkiewicz, Bogle or Adams can find their shooting boots soon, preferably starting tomorrow at the City Ground. Three points would be absolutely massive for us and would kickstart our season. It’s going to be a tough task, but I think we need to stay optimistic.
