Birmingham boss Alex McLeish has laughed of reports linking Liam Ridgewell, Christian Benitez and Seb Larsson with a move to West Ham at the end of the season.

There have been rumours in the press that West Ham, who are now owned by former Birmingham chiefs David Sullivan and David Gold, will be bidding for the trio in the summer.

Ridgewell and Larsson are out of contract at the end of the season, but Birmingham will be addressing that shortly.

‘I’m not annoyed. It’s good fun, all part of the banter,’ said McLeish.

‘I’m not surprised by anything I read in the papers or see in the media nowadays.

‘The mind games, the Premier League’s high profile, all makes for good reading and you get a good laugh sometimes.’
