Birmingham travel to the American Express Stadium tomorrow in the hope of continuing their bright away form. Rowett has a selection headache should David Davis not be passed fit.

Blues will test David Davis right up until the last minute in the hope that his knee injury is not too bad. Davis limped off during the 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough.

I’m told Reilly did not do well in his place but you have to put that into context. The young lad hasn’t played much football and he was being asked to come in and play against 2nd placed Middlesbrough.

From discussions I had today with a lot of fans, the two favored options are Spector into midfield and loanee Rob Kiernan given his debut or Reece Brown was mentioned.

Brown hasn’t played since August in the 1-0 win over Brighton but the general consensus was that he would do a better job in the middle with Gleeson. Maybe it would be a good omen to play him against them again.

Other than that I would expect a very similar squad to the team that played Middlesbrough, Rowett was very pleased with the display (mostly). Obviously the result wasn’t ideal after the performance probably warranted 3 points.

Here is the good news, Brighton have been terrible at home, losing 4 of their last 6 and winning just 25% of their last 20 at home.

Birmingham, are on somewhat of a drawing run and Brighton may well provide yet another! The last three away games have ended in a draw (Leeds; Wednesday and Fulham).

If Blues bring their shooting boots this game is certainly a possible three points in my view.

Caddis came through for me last game and my predicted goalscorers are no different here. First goal scorer will be Donaldson, Cotterill or Caddis. As from then on, hopefully Gray and/or Shinnie could find the net.

Brighton’s goal threat predominantly comes from Dunk or Teixeira, both have 3 goals so far this season. But their scoring is spread out evenly across their team so they could nick it from anywhere.

Many people may not have this down as 3 points for Blues but I am HOPING this comes out as 1-0 Birmingham. A clean sheet would be great and like I have shown, Brighton are not good at home!
