Parent Company Halt Negotiations

Birmingham City’s parent company, Birmingham International Holdings, have confirmed that they will not entertain any offers that are intended to be non-binding.

The parent company are basically pushing all of the current offers from the table. Soccer Management Worldwide had a non-binding offer for BCFC and that is now believed to be ended.

Why BIHL are doing this is not really clear. It could be a way of ended talks that they see as dead in the water and it could also be a signal that the club is very unlikely to be sold at all.

There were hopes earlier in the year that the club would change hands soon, but given the upturn in fortunes; Yeung being the largest shareholder again and Pavos Pavlakis improving things at St Andrews; the holding company may want to keep Blues for the time being.

The situation remains that the Football League are unable to do anything against Mr Yeung and co. They will become even less of a likely option should Mr Yeung have his conviction overturned; which looks likely to happen.

BIHL are free to keep the club and maybe the fans will even warm to the idea should a respectable flow of money return to the club.

The only thing we do know is that there is now no longer ongoing negotiations for the purchase of the club. It remains, for now, in the hands of BIHL.
