As the busy Christmas period creeps up on us, Birmingham City are preparing themselves to take on Barnsley this weekend at St.Andrew’s.

Following last Saturday’s win against Brentford at Griffin Park, Blues boss Gary Rowett will be hoping that his side can continue their fine start to the season with another good home performance.

Blues are currently unbeaten in seven at home, with just one defeat on home soil in the league this season, but they have to be very cautious of the Tykes who are undefeated in their last two away games.

Despite losing heavily to Nottingham Forest last weekend, I expect them to come to St.Andrew’s looking to pick up at least a point, maybe even three, and Blues can’t afford to be complacent because we need to keep up our good form if we want to stay in the play-off places.

Down below is the side that I think Rowett will put out against Barnsley on Saturday along with the seven substitutes…

GK: Kuszczak
RB: Dacres-Cogley
CB: Shotton
CB: Morrison
LB: Grounds
CM: Tesche
CM: Kieftenbeld
CM: Davis
RW: Cotterill
ST: Jutkiewicz
LW: Adams

Substitutes: Legzdins, Robinson, Gleeson, Brown, Stewart, Donaldson, Maghoma.

Blues fans, what do you make of the team that has been predicted? Do you think Gary Rowett will drop Clayton Donaldson and play Che Adams on the left? Let us know in the comment section down below!
