After yet another disappointing defeat at St.Andrews, I thought it was only fair that I took a look at the game and rated each individual performance from how I saw them.

The inclusion of Neal Eardley, which was predicted by us earlier in the week, could have proved to be our downfall in the first few moments as the defender was non-existent when Huddersfield scored their first goal after 31 seconds.

As the game went on, Blues just lacked the cutting edge in the final third and eventually they were given a taste of their own medicine when the Terriers counter attacked on them and scored what was a very simple goal from a mistake made by the home side.

Down below are the ratings, followed by a short sentence on how I feel each individual performed.

Kuszczak 7: Other than the two goals that he conceded, the big Polish shot stopper had very little to do! Will feel he could have done better with both goals though.

Eardley 5: On his return to the side, he failed to cover his position for the first goal and was unlucky with the second goal. Failed to make any impact going forward.

Spector 7: Very good game. Was in the way of each ball that came forward but made one critical mistake which led to the second goal.

Morrison 7: Another good performance from the former Charlton Athletic defender and he did the basics well throughout.

Grounds 5: Was ripped apart once again. The confidence has been sapped out of the full back and maybe some time out of the team will do him good.

Davis 8: My Man of the Match. Was very disappointed when he got taken off because he was one of the only players driving us forward. Nice to see him back in the team from the start.

Gleeson 6: A fair performance in the middle of the park but he could have been a better driving force from the midfield.

Kieftenbeld 6: Picked up another silly booking which was easily avoidable but other than that, he had a fairly good outing.

Toral 5: First real under rated match that the Arsenal loanee has had in a Blues shirt. Playing him as a winger was a mistake that was made by Rowett and one I am sure he won’t want to do again.

Brock-Madsen 6: Was a willing runner throughout and was very unlucky not to find the back of the net in the first half. One goal might spark something for the 22 year old.

Gray 5: Below average performance yet again from the teenager, who is seeing his price range drop by the game. He is being read too easily and he needs to change his game up soon!

Substitutes-

Maghoma 6: Looked good when he came on and wanted to make things happen in the box.

Solomon-Otabor 6: Tired to drive the team forward and won a few corners for the home side.

Shinnie 5: A substitute that probably shouldn’t have been used, but he did put in a good shift when he came on.
