Luke Turner takes a look at who could be key for Blues when they face the Trotters…

Next up for Blues is a home fixture against relegation threatened Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday evening.

This week I have chosen to focus on someone who is likely to cause plenty of problems to the Bolton rearguard and that is Jacques Maghoma.

I feel like this is pretty much a must win game for Blues and, therefore, we need to attack, create chances and score goals.

Someone who has proved that he can do all of the above is Maghoma which is why I believe he will be key for us.

These players need to step up for these type of games where the opposition will sit back, defend and make it difficult to create chances.

It may only take one bit of quality for Blues to win the game and Maghoma can certainly provide it for us.

In the past few games he hasn’t been as effective as he had been and I believe this will be the game for him to get back in the swing of things.

With four goals and two assists to his name so far this season, he has shown that he can both score and create goals.

Bolton aren’t in the best of positions at present and a leaky defence will give Maghoma the incentive to run at them with the hope that, at some point, they might crack.

When on top form, the winger can be unplayable and a joy to watch. He has also been impressive when helping out defensively so any threat down Bolton`s right will be spotted by Jacques.

Here’s hoping that Blues get back to winning ways against the Trotters and that Maghoma has a big part to play in what could be a crucial victory for Rowett`s men.
