On loan Arsenal man Jon Toral has proven to be a massive hit down St.Andrews this season with fans and management alike, but the bigger question is, is there a future and Birmingham City Football Club for him?

There are three possible scenarios that could play out over the summer, and two of them involve the 21 year old Spaniard coming back to B9.

Firstly, Blues boss Gary Rowett has hinted that if the talented no.10 did become available in the summer on a permanent basis then he would definitely be interested in bringing him in and I am sure Rowett isn’t the only one with that in mind.

Toral is out of contract at the end of the season and Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is yet to hint at whether he will be giving the former Barcelona academy product a new contract or not.

If he did sign a new contract with the Premier League side then there would be two ways that Blues could acquire his services.

As previously mentioned, Blues could get him on a permanent basis, but if he signed a new contract that would mean paying money for him, although Rowett has said that he would pay as much as £2.5 million for him, that’s how highly thought of he is.

The other way is that we could sign him on another season long loan. I think if we did sign him on a season long loan then that would all be dependent on something else happening at Blues, which is the third scenario.

Yes, Rowett has hinted that Andy Shinnie will be coming back to the club in the summer, but if he has the option to bring Toral in over the Scotsman, I think we all know where he is going to go don’t you!

Therefore, it would mean that Shinnie would be out the door of St.Andrews for good which would be a shame because he is a good player on his day, but when you can bring somebody in like Toral, others do have to make way eventually.

Any one of the options seem likely to happen from where I am standing and that can only be a good thing from a fans point of view as well as a managers because it means that the club is moving forward.

I personally would love to see Toral come into the club on a permanent basis because he is a fantastic individual and he really does add that something different to the squad that we clearly didn’t have last season.

Blues fans, do you think there is a future at BCFC for the on loan Arsenal man Jon Toral? Out of the three options, which do you think is most likely to happen? Let us know in the comment section down below!
