Notts County have signed 18-year-old midfielder Reece Brown from Birmingham City in a one month youth loan. Birmingham would like the youngster to get as many games as possible whilst not featuring at St Andrews.

The England Under 18 midfielder played seven times for the Blues last campaign and is highly thought of at St Andrews. This season it was first thought he may be able to break into the first team but since pre-season Brown is yet to feature.

In order for his progress to continue Brown will join Notts County to try and make it in their first team.

Lee Clark to BCFC.com

“I know he`s going to play at the start of the loan; he`s not going there to be on the bench. It`s then up to Reece and he will have to perform to stay in their team and hopefully in that period he will get between five and seven games.”

He made his first full league start in January against Yeovil Town and his display in the middle of the park was rewarded with the man of the match.

Shortly after, Brown penned his first professional contract for City, a club he joined when he was ten years old.

Brown will go straight into the squad to face Bristol City on Sunday. Meanwhile Birmingham are gearing up for a trip to Wigan.
