Jordan Ibe, Andrew Shinnie and Nikola Zigic were all on the score sheet away from home tonight as Birmingham City beat Millwall 3-2 at the Den, but it finished close.

Darren Randolph made himself an early hero in the game when he made a great stop to prevent Steve Morison from giving Millwall the lead.

But in the end the opening goal went the way of Birmingham City who scored against the run of play according to commentators on the game,
Ibe got the goal when he fired into the bottom corner after getting on the end of a cross from Paul Caddis.

But the home side were back on level terms when Morison got onto a ball sent over the top of the Blues defence and he fired past Randolph giving him no chance,

But City appeared to be in the sort of mood in which they were not going to back down and went back in front when Tyler Blackett crossed and Shinnie headed home with ease.

That`s the way it stayed until the second half when just seven minutes in Chris Burke sent in a cross to the centre of the area and Zigic was on hand to head home to give the Blues a cushion.

Aaron Martin put in a well-timed tackle to prevent Simeon Jackson from pulling a goal back but the home fans had a late goal to celebrate when Jackson was fouled inside the area, the penalty was awarded and the same man beat Randolph to make it 3-2.
