Blues boss Alex McLeish is playing it cool over new contract talks with the club and does not envisage any problems when it comes to finalising a deal.
McLeish has entered the final twelve months of his current contract at St Andrews, but his advisors have been in contact with the club`s vice chairman and talks are now expected in the very near future.
He told the Birmingham Post: ‘What is the situation with my contract? Peter Pannu has been a little bit busy and my guys (advisors) were a little bit busy before. But they have made contact now and I’m hoping that something can get done fairly quickly.’
‘I don’t envisage any hold ups. It doesn’t matter, I am still contracted for another season anyway. Hopefully we will get things tied up.’
