|

Viv Solomon-Otabor has not ruled out a return to Birmingham City.

The 22 year-old is currently on loan at Blackpool where he has appeared on 35 occasions.

The likliehood is that the Seasiders will make an attempt to sign the winger permanently in the summer.

But Solomon-Otabor, a product of the Wast Hills academy, has been in regular contact with Blues over the last few months.

New manager Garry Monk held a telephone conversation with him and is analysing his performance reports.

The Nigerian U23 international has spoke of his desire to regain his place in the Blues squad.

He is under contract until June 2019 so next season will be make or break for him as far as his time at Blues is concerned.

Monk has also had brief contact with loanees Andy Shinnie, Greg Stewart and Cheick Keita.

The Blues boss has spoken publicly about ‘laying the foundations` at St. Andrews though a lot may depend on the success of their relegation fight this season.
