Earlier reports that linked Manchester City with a move for Blues winger Seb Larsson were wide of the mark.
Sky Sports broke the news that City were interested in the Swede but it turns out that sources at St Andrews have said that the only bids for the player have come from Newcastle United and Aston Villa.
Neither is being pursued further.
