Birmingham City found their opening pre season game an easy one as they beat Austrian side Kirchberg hitting seven goals along the way.

Kirchberg are a non league side so it was no surprise that Blues won the game and Kevin Phillips scored two in his first outing in a Birmingham shirt.

McSheffrey opened the scoring for Blues in the first half from the penalty spot and ten minutes later he added a second direct from a corner.

Liam Ridgewell got the third in first half stoppage time when he connected with a flick on from O`Connor.

In the second half O`Connor made it four when he fired the ball into the bottom corner

And half time substitute Phillips opened his account on 62 minutes with an easy goal after being set up by O`Connor.

David Murphy made it 6-0 when he flew in and headed a Jordon Mutch corner into the net and with 17 minutes of the game left, Phillips grabbed his second and

Birmingham`s seventh when he chested the ball down from an O`Connor cross and fired home an unstoppable shot.
