Birmingham City have today announced that Gianfranco Zola has resigned from is position as manager of the club.

The Italian suffered yet another defeat on Monday afternoon at the hands of Burton Albion, who subsequently overtook Blues in the table and finally the former Chelsea man saw sense and left the club.

Blues had only won two games under Zola and with fans showing their anger after they lost 2-0 to the Brewers, the club confirmed that Zola had left his post less than two hours after the game had finished.

We will have more reaction as we get more news. Stay tuned…
