Former Blues manager Gary Rowett is the second favourite to replace Alan Pardew in the Crystal Palace dugout.

Palace sacked Pardew this afternoon after a disastrous run of form and are now looking for a new manager. Ex-England boss Sam Allardyce is the early front runner with Rowett, Chris Coleman and Roy Hodgson high up in the bookies odds.

Rowett, who was controversially sacked from his job at St. Andrews last week, is highly thought of in the game and is unlikely to be out of work long. However, he has never managed in the Premier League which could count against him.

Wales head coach Coleman is sought after since leading the Dragons to the semi-finals of Euro 2016.
