Norwich City boss Paul Lambert has his eyes on Blues centre-back Curtis Davies according to reports and rumours.

Not only is the Canaries boss giving the player the once over, but Reading are said t be interested as well.

Lambert is keen to add players to his squad with Premier League quality as he looks forward to a second season in the top flight.

Reading boss Brian McDermott has the same reason as Lambert for wanting Davies, his side have recently been promoted.

Davies, 27, cost Aston Villa almost £10million when they snapped him up from West Brom in 2007 but soon after that the player found himself farmed out on loan to Leicester City on loan before Birmingham came along and paid a bargain price of £4million.

He was recently named in the PFA`s Team of the Season.
