Birmingham City have today announced the signing of Watford striker Jerome Sinclair.

The 20-year-old has joined the club on loan until the end of the season, with the terms of the deal being announced as a standard loan.

Blues were in desperate need of a striker after it was revealed that Clayton Doanldson will be out for longer than the club originally planned for.

Sinclair, who is originally from Birmingham, has played just seven times for the Hornets this year in both the league and cup, scoring once against Burton Albion in the FA Cup third round.

The former Liverpool academy product joined Watford in the summer for a fee of around £4 million and he becomes Zola`s sixth signing in this transfer window.
