After being linked with Birmingham City this transfer window, former Champions League winner Ashley Cole has admitted that he is ‘thinking’ about a move to St. Andrew’s.
Cole, 36, is currently playing at LA Galaxy but has just six months remaining on his contract.
When asked whether he was considering the possibility of joining Blues, Cole said: ‘Yeah, I’m just waiting to kind of see and keep my options open.
‘It’s six months left here so it’s something I’m thinking about, yeah.’
It’s no secret that Harry Redknapp is keen to strengthen in the left back spot and Cole is certainly a man that the Blues boss would be keen to bring in.
The ex-Chelsea and Arsenal man has enjoyed an illustrious career that includes three Premier League titles, seven FA Cups and 107 England caps.
