Despite a very resilient performance, Birmingham went down to a late Lennon goal at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham had large spells of pressure, with them breaking through on 72 minutes. However Blues were not without chances and they took theirs on the 75th minute for Bowyer to slot home the equalizer.

They were a much stronger team with a higher expectation; it was a performance full of positives in retrospect and relation to Blues’ targets. McLeish will surely be happy with some of the chances Birmingham managed to create through McFadden, Larsson and Benitez.

Blues had a shout for a penalty Turned down when McFadden seemed to of had his heels clipped, and despite being on the back foot, they went forward with vigour and resilience, much like how they defended.

Well done Tottenham for a brilliant and exciting performance, 3 points well earned after Blues provided a little more than your average scare.
