Blues travel down south this weekend to the sunny climates of Bournemouth and Lee Clark will be looking to keep the unbeaten run going.

Saturday’s draw with Middlesbrough at St Andrews makes it five without loss for Clark’s men which is a big improvement on the early season form.

Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth on the other hand have had an indifferent season so far although they are holding their own since getting into the Championship, they hammered Millwall 5-2 not so long ago but then went seven games without a win before beating a good looking Reading side 2-1 on their own patch last time out.

The 1994/95 season was the last time the two clubs met, that was in the old Division Two, the score was 2-1 to Bournemouth at Dean Court while the two sides recorded a 0-0 draw earlier in the season at St Andrews.

There have been a dozen previous meetings between the two clubs over the years in all competitions, the Cherries have won six and Blues just two, and there have been four draws.

As far as the teams go, Bournemouth goalkeeper Ryan Allsop is out of the game because of glandular fever, but there could be returns for Nico Yennaris, Ian Harte, Josh McQuoid and Wes Thomas.

Lee Clark on the other hand, has Tom Adeyemi available again after he missed the draw with Middlesbrough.

There could also be a places in the squad for Will Packwood and Amari`i Bell who have been recalled from loans.

However, there will be no place for either Lee Novak or Mitch Hancox, Novak looks like missing just the one game with a bit of luck, but Hancox will be out until after the new year.

Matt Green, Neal Eardley, Jonathan Spector, David Murphy and Akwasi Asante all remain out.
