A strong-looking Birmingham side scored their first goal of pre-season in a 1-0 victory against League Two outfit Dagenham & Redbridge.

Alex McLeish’s side could not find the net during three warm-up matches in Austria but Marcus Bent’s strike after 77 minutes helped them to victory.
