Lee Carsley grabbed his first goal for Birmingham City as they overcame Plymouth at Home Park on Tuesday night.

The 1-0 win keeps the Blues in touch with Wolves who are three points in front at the top of the table after they also won.

The home side had the better of things for large periods of the game but they wasted their chances in front of goal leaving Carsley to punish them when he drove home the winner on 62 minutes.

Argyle had chances to pull level but they left the field thinking what might have been after being so wasteful in front of goal. The defeat was their fifth on home soil this season.
