Blues Interested In Tainio?

Sky Sports are reporting this morning that Blues are looking at signing Sunderland`s Teemu Tainio.

Alex McLeish has been a long term admirer of the Finnish midfielder who looks set to become surplus to requirements at the Stadium of Light.

Tainio could find it difficult to command first team football now that the Black Cats have signed Lee Cattermole and Lorik Cana.
And if the player is allowed to move on then McLeish could be interested.

Tainio signed for Sunderland last summer from Tottenham and made over 20 appearances for the club.
