There are five Birmingham City players representing their countries over the International break for various age groups and it could have been more if it wasn`t for the unfortunate withdrawals of Bobby Moseley from the Ireland under 19`s squad and Demarai Gray from the England under 19`s set up.

Blues winger David Cotterill faces Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday night hoping to make his 21st cap for his country. After an opening game victory in Andorra, Chris Coleman`s men go into the game at the City of Cardiff Stadium top of the group and looking to potentially increase their points tally against a side headed by Manchester city forward Edin Dzeko. Emyr Huws who played seventeen times for Birmingham City last year scoring two goals also lines up for the Dragons. Cotterill will be looking to bring his good domestic form into his international game and add to his one goal already scored for Wales.

American defender Will Packwood makes the sixteen hour journey to the capital of Brazil, Brasilia to face Brazil under 23`s on Monday night. Packwood who played twelve times for Lee Clark last season has only featured once this league campaign but as he carries on impressing for the United States it looks to only be a matter of time before the 21 year old is given a full run out for his club side. After representing the United States at Under 17, 18 and 20`s he is now set to make his second appearance for the Under 23`s and then hopefully bring his good form back to life at St. Andrews.

One of Birmingham City`s leading lights this season has been David Edgar who Lee Clark signed on a free in the summer. Edgar is set to face World Cup quarter finalists Colombia in New York on Wednesday. The 27 year old who scored in his last international game against Jamaica has been in fine form for club and country this season being one of Blues most consistent performers and scoring his first goal for the club against Ipswich back in August.

Two of Birmingham City`s young guns represent Scotland under 18`s and Wales under 17`s too respectively. Tom Lang who is a centre-back on the books at the academy and is set to come up against his under 18 compatriots from the Czech Republic on the 21st and 23rd October. Centre-back Jack Challis is set to take part in the Wales squad for the UEFA under 17 qualifiers against Russia, Belarus and Montenegro. Wales are in Group 13 of the qualification process and will play all three games in Belarus on the 19th, 21st and 24th October.
