The referee in charge of this weekend’s game against Charlton Athletic at the Valley is James Adcock.
The Nottinghamshire based official certainly loves the cards; he has not managed to go one game so far this season without showing one, the last time that we met up with Adcock he booked two, that was in the 2-0 defeat at Reading at the end of September.
That afternoon it was two Birmingham players that went into the ref’s book, Jonathan Spector and Nikola Zigic.
So far this season Adcock has shown 70 yellow cards and five red…. And that is after just 19 games.
Adcock’s assistants on Saturday will be Jake Hillier and David Rock. Fourth Official duties go to Gavin Muge.
