Will Packwood made his return to competitive action with an appearance for the Blues Development team away at Barnsley yesterday.
The youngster has been out since January with a broken leg, he played only the first half.
Barnsley went 3-0 in no time at all as Blues struggled to get to grips with their attacking opponents.
Adda Djeziri, who is on trial with the development team, pulled one back for Blues but it was all in vein.
Danny Rose completed the rout in the 88th minute, 4-1.
