Luke Turner picks out someone who could be key in leading us to victory against Burnley…

Blues return to action on Saturday to face title chasing Burnley at St Andrews looking to put the disappointment of Tuesday`s defeat behind them.

Sean Dyche`s side are looking good for an immediate return to the Premier League following last seasons relegation so it will be another tough game for Gary Rowett`s men.

If we are to get anything from the game then I believe that Ryan Shotton will be key to it.

The on-loan Derby man has been played in his preferred centre half position in the last two games and has rewarded Rowett with two man of the match performances.

He looks a lot more comfortable at the heart of defence rather than at full back and his height, athleticism and strength can be used to our advantage.

Both him and Michael Morrison will have their hands full on Saturday with Sam Vokes and Andre Gray both in extremely good form with the latter leading the goalscoring charts in the Championship with 23.

Ryan can hopefully compete with Vokes in the air and also match Gray for speed and strength when the ball is on the floor.

It is obvious that Shotton will have to be at the top of his game to halt one of the Championship`s deadly duo but, if he does, then it could spur the whole team on.

If he does his job correctly and limits Vokes and Gray to little scraps to feed off then it will certainly give Blues more of a chance to win the game.

We might be out of the play-off race but Shotton and his teammates can still impact the standings, starting with the game on Saturday against The Clarets.
